Frustration during practice

Here are some of the techniques that I try to do whenever I am frustrated during a practice session:

  • Deep breaths. I think this is something that we sometimes forget.

  • Practice something that you love. It’s always a nice reminder of why we do what we do.

  • SLOW DOWN! Sometimes too much emphasize is put on getting things fast. I always tell my students, I’d rather have slow and clean than fast and sloppy.

  • Take a break. Sometimes we just need a reset. Go for a walk and come back with a fresh take.
